When Saddleback Church founder & author of the Purpose Driven Life Rick Warren ballooned up to nearly 300 pounds in 2011 he announced to his congregation that he was going to change his eating ways. To develop the plan he turned to doctors and best selling authors, Mehmet Oz, Daniel Amen and Mark Hyman to help him and they formulated what is called the Daniel Plan. He and the authors say the diet combines Food, Faith, Focus, Friends and Fitness. Co-author Mark Hyman explains how the diet regime works.
