Brown rice is a staple of a healthy diet. This rice can be cooked in a rice cooker as well.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Short Grain Brown Rice
- 2 Cups Water
- 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Fresh Thyme
- 1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 Bay Leaf
- 1/2 Teaspoon Sea Salt
Method
Step 1
In a small pot with a lid add the uncooked rice, water, olive oil, sea salt, thyme, onion powder, and bay leaf. Cover and bring to a simmer for 25–30 minutes over medium heat. Once the rice is tender remove from heat and remove the bay leaf.
